ok i have searched the forums and found a bunch of old links to dlls that don't work any more. so does anyone know where to download whatever it is I need to print on a printer? Is there some way to do this within dbc?

It should be possible to print by executing the DOS print.exe command. You have to know which port your printer is printing on. I think most printers these days use USB instead of parallel so it might not work, but here it is (you should look up the print command for all of the switches) assuming printer port lpt1:

what does the /p do? on my command prompt it doesn't say anything about it? also, i have been trying to print through a usb port and so far no luck...anyone know the solution?

the /p adds the file to the print queue. Without parallel (lpt) or serial (com) port, the DOS print probably won't work.

If you have MS Word or Excel installed, you can actually use a command line sequence to activate a macro in one of those. If you have the macro programmed to load and print a file, you can do that.

Without writing a dll, i can't think of a way at the moment. There was a code snippet someone wrote a while ago..., I'll take a look for the link...
