Well, here it is, a sword for anyone who wants it.

I can't texture but I've posted the UV map in the next post down.

there is a lot of space not being used on your uv map.
next time as you get better, try to reduce the amount of space being wasted on the uv map area.
good if your just starting out.

Thanks indi.

I was making an attempt at texturing, and (I was using Uv Mapper Classic) That was the only one that it was obvious what was what.

Do you think a cylindrical map would work for it?

E.D.

P.S. Anything anyone would like me to make??
I won't be able to texture it but I might be able to model it

The best map is the best shape it represents.
Imagine an arm as a tube, a head as spherical, a tv as a cube.
Match the starting shape to the uv shape and then tweak from there.
Why not try something a little more complex in shape, until you finally get to organic models.

OK...... I'll pretend to understand .

I'll try a cylindar map.

E.D.

OK, better UV Map.

(The long polies are the blade, the really short ones are the guard, and the slightly longer ones are the hilt.

The squashed circle at the top is the top of the guard.

The squashed circle at the bottom is the bottom of the guard.
The circle in the middle of the squashed one is the bottom of the hilt.)

Hope this is more useful to you.
