I actually take that as quite an offense.
TA soliders are just as well trained as any other soldier. Once my father had left the coldstream guards battalion (The guys with the huge hats at Buckingham Palace), he joined the TA to carry on with what he believed was right. He then trained every weekend, correct, but he was just like any other soldier. There are TA soldiers out in the field in Iraq and Afghanistan as I type this. Personally, I believe that the TA are a much more inspiring group... They have one weekend and every tuesday to train. Full time soldiers live at training camps all the time.
Urgh... anyway, sorry i just felt I had to inoform, so that next time he can say something like that, he actually knows what he's talking about..
