Cant be done in this engine. It would have to be dynamic to have mass multiple textures. a dynamic entiy that big would kill FPSC and we don't need a funeral. Basically Rolfy pinned it down for us. Biggest ya want in FPSC is a 3x3 area. Looks cool and all...and it's totally doable in other engines...But no point in explain how to texture it when it can't be done.

Have him break it down into smaller 3x3 sections.

See if your friend can break it down into usable parts.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

you could easily cut this large model into smaller pieces and lay each piece down in the editor. Why you would need to do it as one piece is beyond me.

it dosant look that large, or heavaly detailed. but it would be a reel pain to texture, becose of all the sharp angles. i would say brake it up into seoarate peces, so that everywere there is a join on somthing like this in reel life, theres a join on the modal. this will probaly end up with 100+ separate meshes, but its the only way it could be dun without using 10,000*10,000 pixal images .

whats the polycount? i expect you could tidy it up quite abit, loose verts on the cercular thingies that are high up as you will never see them close up.

learn blender, you will never regret it.
