Its the cheapest and easist of the 3d engines I have come across, and by a good way as well. Infact Id say its the easiest game creation tool Ive come across, thats 2d and 3d.

its not the best, but the only ones ive seen that are better than it are £1000+ and you have to pay another £50 for each game you make with it.

current projects and versions:

Well, it does allow "better" graphics, like models with higher polycount and -resolution textures, crazy ammount of special effects, many many objects on screen at once, full physics with ragdoll, more control over things in overall...

So yeah, compared to the current DX9-version, X10 will rock.

yep X10 will rock.
But there is one other engine I used for fps's but it wasn't the same. It was terrible, stick with FPSC, and magnify it's amazing abilites, you might wanna get X10.! When it comes out but ti's only for vista.

to the ones thats trapped inside of you, this is it!!

For commercial games, use x9 for the widest audience, for hobbyist having fun use x10, that's if you have the necessary spec.

One point to also note on fpsc is that its user base is quite active, they actually release games, rather than just talk about it, they also release a lot of content in add ons, both commercial and free, its quite an active community, so yes I would recommend it for the least hassle to making games.
