Just a week or so ago, there was a topic somewhere here about optimising the lightmapping in a game, by editing the setuplevel.fpi file, after the game has been built. I've been searching using every keyword in history for about 3 days now, over the whole TGC forum, but I still can't find the topic. If anyone remembers how the optimisation was done, or if they happen to have a link to the topic, then please post here.

Thanks for reading.

im sure it was the user.ini file, look in the fpsc folder, there arnt that many files, it will have lightmap quality, between 0-100, version .4 has it set at 50, well you can put it less to give less quality but more perfomance, you can also change the size of the maps from 512, to 256, that will be what you are looking for.

Just checked through some of my build games, there's no user.ini file, and none of the ini files in the directory have anything to do with lightmap quality in them.

It's the setup.ini file and it is in the FPS Creator folder (the main one).
