Well, after about 2 days of learning sketchup, and modelling, I came up with this.

I think it's ok-but comments and crit are greatly needed. I will not be releasing this, as I need it for a possibly commercial project in the later Direct X 10 future.

Google Sketchup says the model is 640 poly's, but Milkshape tells me 2,000. Haha.

Regards,
AaronG

it might be the angle but it looks a little out of proportion, the handle looks a little too short. Also the triangular indent on top looks a little odd, might be better with a texture

well, it's based upon a reference picture mapped to a plane, so-I see no reason why it should be like that. But, ill check it out anyway.

Throw in a straight on side-shot, should show if the handle is a bit short, as I agree with Quoth, from this angle it does appear a bit short. However, excellent model thus far

the handle's a bit blocky, and the barrel seems too narrow for a desert eagle, but otherwise its a nice model.

I don't have a sig, live with it.

the d'eagle comes in .50 ae, .44 mag and .357 mag, maybe that's the .357. also, the handle is kind of blocky on desert eagles, but it could be rounded a tiny bit in your model. i think it looks disproportionate to some people because the actual gun looks disproportionate. grip size doesn't change much, so when you get up into barrel lengths of 6 inches and over things kind look a little odd. very nice model though, looks like you could end up having a nice little weapons cache before long, haha.
