Cawdarwin, I don't know why you persist in posting about the last competition but perhaps if you tell us what you wrote we'll give you our own opinions as to whether you should have won or not?
As far as I can see, you are just a forum troll - 'inciting debate'.
There is another retro competition running at retro remakes
http://www.remakes.org that will have different judges - if you really feel the last competition was unfair.
Failing that, perhaps we shouldn't feed the Troll any more food in the hope you move along and stop posting your bitter resentment as to 'loosing' as you put it.
Personally I don't think anyone lost in the competition, being recognised for my entries was enough for me. I didn't particularly win anything to shout about myself (1 year DBDN membership) yet I am still pleased to have entered and contributed to a great competition.
I will be entering the Retro Remakes competition too in the full knowledge that victory is something that other people do...
