i made several posts, both in reply to other posts and my own problem posted 2x now.waited hours and hours, none have appeared.is there a problem , i know they have to be authorised due to status but does it have to take so long??

Yes it does.

It only needs a moderator to confirm them, but we're not 'on duty' 24 hours a day. Despite having moderators all around the world, sometimes there are small periods where a moderator isn't actively moderating.
