do you have to have a story in single-player or not?

You don't have to have a story but it makes things more interesting for the player if you do.

Depends on your game,if its just "Shoot Da Crap" outof some dudes walking on your screen,making it VERY boring.Then...Nope.

But its recommended,as it makes ecerything WAY more intresting as Thraxas said.

ok, like what type of stoys to use? thanks for the help. i was trying to build a game about where you try to survie from getting killed from about 1 million enemys spread out over about 20 to 50 levels.
