Hey guys I was wondering if anybody ran into this problem already. I did a search but didnt find anything.
I recently did a system restore, when I did, The editor for FPSC became extremely slow when before it worked very well. I've updated my GFX card drivers and still no avail. Is there anything else I may have missed? The testing speed is fine and such it's just building levels is almost impossible. Any help would be appreciated.

did system restore reset defaults for FPSC? Like are you building with full lightmaps and dynamic lights and full shader efects?

Try to re-install on top of it, since you did a restore no registry settings should be in the way...

@darmic - Try a repair or re-install.

i already deleted and reinstalled as well as adding the new patch, so its not the patch since i tried it before installing it.
It's happening to you too Jon? Yes its like a skipping effect and I have to wait forever to place something; sometimes i'm not even sure I did palace anything.And yes that 'catastrophic error thing is quite annoying'

well i had to do a complete restore cuz it messed up other stuff too but i saved all my important stuf and its all working fine now. So mods you can lock this if you need as it wasn't related to FPSC after all.
