I want to see the best games that have been done with fpsc, it would be nice to have either a site or a link to all the finest quality downloads that fpsc has offered us so far.

Are there any sites that showcase or any links that have rounded up the best, 'playable' games on offer.

Well, I don't think you would need an entire website for the list. To my knowledge, there are only a handfull of finished games. Some of the work in progress is much more promising than the games that were quickly made and released.

Check this thread, but the best stuff, work in progress, has not yet been released.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

They dont have to be full games, demos or levels will do, just stuff that stands out, the quality levels and demos, the cream of the fpsc crop.
Who and what is the cats whiskers of fpsc.

On that link, a lot of those dont have screenshots, just links to demos, one can wade through the showcase and search and search for stuff, thats why I ask whats the good stuff, the must see.

yea I played that spider game, very interesting and original.

Back on topic...
Folks, this is what the Showcase forum is for.Unfortunately anybody can post anything at this point into the Showcase forum and it gets quite polluted.

Manifesto games has nothing to do with the competition at all.... you do mean Mastertronic Games.... they've promised the publishing deal, not Manifesto, you picked on the wrong one, check newsletter 46 But seriously, did you ever believe there was a publishing deal, even the TGC staff person who left stated a couple of times that the publishing deal by Mastertronic was more or less a hoax. Mastronic only publishes proven titles, Manifesto on the other hand published promising titles, huge difference. If Manifesto would have sponsored the competition, the winning titles would have been published on completion, Mastronic never ever seriously consider publishing one of winning titles.

Perhaps there should be a "staff's selection" or something like that, or a poll of some sort?

Search for "HellHouse" in Showcase.

My bad Ben.Seems like there's a lot of problems with the Nvidia competition but I did mention the wrong company.

The idea has been discussed but we lowly FPSC mods don't get to make that decision...
And I know I double posted.

That's OK, at least which publishing company has sponsored has sorted now, I really do hope the rest of the problems will be sorted also. Too many empty promised made in the competition and that's a shame, but speaking to past winners, a lot of the competitions here have had the same problems and those were never solved, I really hope it will be differently this time.

Those entrants on the nvidia competition looked real interesting, I haven't seen them available for download yet.

On a showcase forum, have a voting system for people that use the forums, that will give a guide on whats hot and whats not. It could have full set of stats, a bit like the mod data base web site.
http://moddb.com/
they had a whole bunch of stats on the mods it was very useful, the same could be used for fpsc, like if it has been released or in development is a full game or demo, the theme of it, user ratings etc, it would make it easier to find fpsc games, it would also increase its popularity if people can easily find the games they want and play them, also gives the developers a platform and some feedback and ranking to the whole affair.
