Hi I'm looking of ways to improve my fps, to do that I' setting the smooth on an object depending on the distance between the camera and that object, still that object is always using the same high resolution texture...so my questions is: Is there anyway of using more than a texture on a object so that when the object is on a certain distance of a camera it uses that texture...please if anyone knows any other techniques feel free to say.

You can always calculate distances and texture the objects accordingly...

Right but can I have multitextured objects? So that I can call those textures id on that objet when I want?

I don't think it works that way, but you can 'call' any other external texture and apply it to the object when you want
