I posted this message, but I think it got lost because my comp crashed when I clicked 'Post'

Anyways...

Hi. I was wondering how to make a weapon have infinite ammo (disable the ammo counter completely, just like the pistol that you pick up in the ww2.fpm test map in the green room with the fireplace)

What settings do I need to achieve this?

I answered last time but
go to the weapons properties when you place gun down
then go to the ammo property and put N/A

I have tried putting N/A in the last entry on the properties, we see ammo, default is set at 1, I change it to N/A and it doesnt work. if we go back and check it resets N/A to 0.

Just tried it, that works for guns that can reload, works perfectly, how can you do it for weapons like the glaive that dont have a reload.

Try putting in 9999, if the player needs more than that then they are way to trigger-happy.

you could but im a stickler for details, plus it will show ammo on screen, and say if i did a mad blaster arcade style game, one could get through that ammo, perhaps one could edit the main script of the weapon.

If you mean putting a weapon down that has unlimited ammo and no display, try this thing that i did to get unlimited ammo for a blaster:

1: Go to my computer.
2: Click on Local Disk C.
3: Go to program files.
4: Find FPSC and game creators and the rest of that rubbish.
5: Go to files, gamecore and then guns.
6: Go into scifi, and right click it and choose copy.
7: Paste it into the same folder as the normal blaster, calling it something like infinite blaster.
8: Go into the new blaster folder and click on gunspec. Notepad should open.
9: The line you need to change is this one:
"reloadqty = 6"
Change it to:
"reloadqty = "

Equip the player with the new blaster at the player start, and voila, infinite ammo.

I went to game core and guns opened scifi and then copied the glave, I them made a new file in guns called test guns, I pasted the glaive in it and renames it infinateglave on the folder, I then changed the script on the reload quantity, i made a file in entities called test guns and copied all the glaive files from the normal glave into this
I then loaded up the level editor to test, one problem, works just like a normal glave, not infinate.

here is what I put into the
muzzleflash = 0
muzzlesize = 0
brass = 0
smoke = 0
flak = scifi\glaive
damage = 0
damagetype = 0
scorchtype = 4
reloadqty =
weaponisammo = 1
iterate = 0
accuracy = 0

Well if you wanted to have a glaive with infinite ammo, of course you can't give it unlimited ammo my way, because the glaive doesn't reload.

^ that's your problem.

Remove, change the value to zero or comment-out that line and replace with "reloadqty" and specify zero as the value. That should give you infinite ammo for your flak weapon, IIRC. Flak weapons are tricky sometimes so, you might need to mess around with the entity FPEs unless it is the starting weapon for the player.
