I got Gamespace ages ago thinking...
Quote: "
Yey! A great free 3d moddling program that does everything I need it to!
"

And... it does! The only problem is when I get to animating!

Heres the story: I add my bones into a 3d model, then move the model(bones) into a different position(after correcting any vertex ownership problems) then save and close down GameSpace Light. I then go into DB PRo, and have a look at the model in it's new position(for example hands on hips) and see it looks perfect. I then go back into gamespace light (re-opening it from a shortcut so that it just re-opens last saved Scene) and my skeleton is still in the hands on hips position, but the model has somehow detached itself and is standing there with it's arms out.

I have done this about 5 times now, and I am sick of "attach skin to skeleton" and then "edit muscles/tendons" then "save as .x" then "close" then "looks good in DBPro" then "Re-open GameSpace Light" then "THE DAMN SKELETON IS DETACHED AGAIN!!!" Tis driving me crazy! Can anyone help? Thanks!

I have had this problem for almost a year now! I don't know what I am doing wrong, can anyone help me?

Thanks!

There seems to be no way around it. I'm a gamespace 1.6 user and I just make my skeleton seperatly as a pupeteer file. Theres no need to re-import it. Just keep the original file.

Another work around people found is to just model your char in gamespace and export as .MS3D. Then just animate in Milkshape
