Ok guys, need your help again. I have your basic bsp map. a few steps, slopes objects, that is it. I can create a primitive form of gravity but the problem with this is that if i am standing on a slope, the gravity pulls me down. If i take this gravity off, ok i can go up the slope, stop and not go anywhere, but if i walk off a ledge, i keep going!!

If anyone has any gravity things that will keep me on the ground (and make me fall off ledges e.t.c) but enable me to stand still on slopes, it would be gratefully appreciated

I don't know if there's a way around that with BSP yet. If it makes you feel any better, most games up until a certain point actually did work like that...

He should be using something like dy=dy-0.1, because else it wouldn't really be gravity .
The only thing you have to do is check collision with the ground and stuff and if you hit something below then your dy should be reset to 0 and you should position the object on top of the object.
Might be harder than it sounds tho.
