Hi all !

I've just made a small demo.

And I've got a problem It's very very slowly ! The resolution is 1024X768 32 Bits (exclusive fullscreen mode), because Reflection shading doesn't work with some 3D Cards in 16 Bit (Mine for ex : GeForce 4 Mx)...

Have you an idea to speed up the demo ? Because it is very simple demo : A textured matrix, with particle emissions and a box with reflection shading. The sky is a textured sphere witch rotates.

12 FPS have you got an idea to speed up demo like this ? Parameters : Sync on and Sync Rate 0...

Thx in advance.

If you are using a skysphere, then turn off backdrop as it isn't needed. Will get you a few more fps.

Particle emmisions slow things down a fair bit. How many fps if you turn them off?

What fps if you turn off reflection shading?

What speed is your computer?

If I turn off particles or relfection yes this is speed up the demo, but, these effects are the demo lol if If I turn off particles and reflection, my demo is obsolete lol.

I have an Athlon XP 1800 + with 512 Dual DDR and Geforce 4 Mx...I would like to speed up the demo without turn off reflection or particles because If I turn off them, My demo is nothing (juste an empty scene lol)...

Ideas ?

Thx

Turn off all anti-aliasing on your graphics card too, and get the lastest NVidia drivers too...

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...

I have already the last Nvidia Driver...

I think reflection shading eats a lot of performance...

Anti aliasing is set by applications.
