Hey after reading the whole thing on ESRB. I've been on some icons for ages+ since you see that on alot of games but there free. and thers no restrictions on putting them on games, heres some icons i'm working on for a pack. tell me what you think, if they need any modifications.

The text looks out of place, it's too sharp compared to the rest of the image, and the alignment also seems weird.

I know it's still a work in progress. For some reason the text on the word humor didn't come out right, for some reason. I have alot more with diff. changes to them. Anyway I'm probably going to give them to PAS and then just have him edit them as he wishes if he wants for that whole rating system on the ESRB thread.

thanks flashing snail. i'm going to take off the bar on the first two and then fix the box on the second one (the small white box) and make it more 3d like the front or just remove it overal. anyway, i'm still wokring on themn. I have 5 colors down and ages, 8, 10+, 13+, and 16+

ok look at these... tell me if there should be the "improved" "box" around on all of the rating icons.

They're good looking, but I dunno. I wouldn't want them on my gamebox in all honesty. Seem like they are trying to grab too much attention or something.

If they are not at least 300 dpi and CYMK the colours will appear to be different when printed.
Usually its best for icons not to have glorified or busy backgrounds.
Different colours as well will offest on pre existing designs for different games.

I agree with Agent Dink. they look good but you could maybe tone it down a little. looks like they would just pop out on the cover a little too much

As boring and easy to make as it sounds, I think they should just use solid colors and or gradients. Otherwise they offset the gamebox designs or grab too much attention and look out of place.

ur right. They should just use black and white, even though i'd love them to look nnot as boring as it is. anyway i'm going to look into PAS's i-rating and just use that probably. p.s. ur sig worked

Actually, no the signature isn't working lol. I'm having trouble getting the link to work. I always get confused which tags to use.

Thanks Shadow, but you shouldn't be complimenting me, the site is a joint operation with my cousins and friend. They did most of the site designing while I've been working with the forum, news, and alot of the downloads on the site.

Hehe, that's the best yet as bad as it sounds. Your first set was good, just not good for it's application. I think you should have gradients in the background behind the age.

be careful of one and two pixel spacing between elements when printing as it can bleed and give poor results.

Its best to generate these in a vector package as well so you can rasterize them at any size.
If your using photoshop and thats all you have, explore the vector components.

If your on a budget as well for vector programs like illustrator, consider inkscape.

Work in cymk if at all possible as the end result will print a lot better if you deploy certain colours.
