@DB PROgrammer- Did u try out the demo? BG texture looks good the top, but my cpu was being gay and didnt load the bottom.

Yea I tried it out yesterday, forgot to comment on it Well I thought it was really good other then the fact that it took me along time to find the attack button, you should probobly post the controls?

BTW i'm going to change the image to jpg hopfully you will be able to see it then, right now its png so that might be the problem.

I'm not exactly sure how early that demo is supposed to be, but since you're not calling it an alpha or proto, but the demo, I'm a little concerned that you're assessment of it thus far is somewhat rather generous. Allow me to list my qualms with the demo as it stands.

- First, there is a long pause prior to each appearance of the "GO" sign.
- I can fall off the level.
- There's a whole lot of moves missing, including all hand-to-hand grappling moves (or whatever they're called; grabbing enemies and throwing them backwards or hitting them on the spot, etc.).
- No jumping, or that I found.
- The level is incredibly short, yet I've seen screenshots of several levels.
- Enemies do next to nothing, and are too easy to beat.
- No timer-based movement. The yellow guy animates way too fast.
- Boxes don't seem to behave right when broken.
- I can see through the black parts of building textures.
- The character looks rather skinny, and very little like Axel.
- The fire spouting from one of the buildings is more like orange smoke.
- Character animations are nice, but he "floats" along the ground if you attack while moving.
- Game freezes and music skips over itself prior to level end theme.

Basically, there's a whole lot of stuff missing here, and I think it's way too early to release a demo. It's playable, yes, but not enjoyable, and I can only assume that several of the points I've raised you already know, making it difficult to give any useful criticism.

Give me an ounce of Puyo, good apothecary, to sweeten my imagination.

Thanks for the criticism guys! Yeah, I'm aware of most of those problems you pointed out. I have some suggesstions/ questions i want to ask you guys/ the community.

First, We have an invisible barrier that holds you back and once you defeat all the punks the GO sign signals. Second, I'm sorry about falling off the level I know you can, but andy hasn't fixed it yet. Third, Would somebody please help our team with this question "If we send you the fully animated Blaze and Axel belender .md2 models could you export them to .x for us, please?" If any one say's yes to that question I'll gladly send you the fully animted models to be converted. Fourth, We have 2 short level's ready to be played, but this build only has the first level at this time playable. Fifth, the enemies are completly unanimated. Although, we are working on modelling and animating punk's atm. Sixth, the boxes are physic's based boxes and are supposed to react realisticly. Seventh, sorry for the freeze up after each enemy killed, but once again Andy(the coder) hasn't fixed it yet.

Please, bare with our second rate demo and enjoy it. Because we have 2 fully aniamted main characters ie: Axel, Blaze and cannot get there .md2 format converted to .x. We are also having problems with andy getting stuff done, because he is always extremly busy. All the best,

Yea I can convert .md2 files but I don't know if it will bring the animations with the conversion but I can try if you want? Just e-mail me(and then post or somthing so I can know when to check).

@DB PROgrammer- It's looking good the BG, but it seems a little dark. Any how we are still working on this, but no new progress. Andy has just come back and said he's ready to finish it. So just keep watching as it progresses. Thanks for the support. All the best,

Great news everyone. We have re pulled our efforts together and this time; we are going to finish Streets of Rage 4! We have some punks and charcters fully animated. We are working now on extending the length of the levels and quickening the character loading script (which makes the enemies load faster). Thanks for all the support and watch as we make many improvements.

@DBprogrammer- I'm starting on extending level 1. Could u please send me the Tavern background at either of these demisions 640x480, or 800 x 600 as PNG files.
