I was just wondering if it's possible to take a direct copy of your DBPro CD for backup.
Since DBPro needs the CD for verification, I would be very sad if the CD stopped working for any reason

Thanks in advance

It would not be *cough*CloneCD*cough* legal for me to tell you how *cough*Alcohol120%*cough* to back up your software which the *cough*BlindWrite*cough* developers put a lot of time and *cough*CDRWin*cough* effort into

Do you want Windows menus in your DBP apps? - Get my plugin: http://snow.prohosting.com/~clone99/downloads/tpc_menus_102.zip

isn;t it funny all the time and money they put into copy protection and the only people it's stops from copying are the legitimat users who don't know enough to get around it. never have figure out why they do it.

Typical. Just because a person wants to protect his investement, you instantly connect it with software piracy

Programmers don't copy the result of other programmers hard work

I have a backup copy of DBPro, its such a important piece of software to me I can't risk loosing/scratching it. I don't personally think there's any moral issue in it, and any1 who uses an illegal copy to make a commercial game if they hadn't paid for a copy would soon get caught anyways

Coming Soon! Kangaroo2 Studio... wait and quiver with anticipation! lol

First post (hello all), but I hope it's helpful.

Under UK law you're allowed to make one copy of your software for backup purposes. However, the laws of the country you're in override the laws of the country where the software was made...

So, for example, even though MS' EULA states that you can't make a backup copy of the software, if you're in the UK you can.

Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer, I'm just doing my best to remember stuff from my computer law module at uni...

I think DB say that if your CD becomes faulty then you can send it back to them and they will replace it. Correct?
