is there any 2D platform tutorials that you can find that work in DBC?

Why do they turn against me? Especially when i need them the most?

not any that i know of as per say "tutorials". However, I have something here that might help you out that i found in 2d all the way. Hope this will give you a little boost.

This helped me out quite a lot with 2d hope it does the same for you

   What the heck is all this?
   Well, it's our level. Every number represents a tile on our map.
   The 1's represent background, and the 2's represent platforms. I wanted
   to keep the data 40x30 form, so you can see the level relatively clearly,
   but that wasn't possible. Each *pair* of DATA statements is one horizontal
   line of tiles.
   Obviously, there are other ways of designing your levels! You'll want to
   use a tile-mapping program, and save your levels instead of hard-coding
   them in DATA statements like this. But this will do, to show you how the
   array holds the whole level.

It's on my "To Do List". Right after I finish up my tutorial of saving and loading custom file types in DBC, I will begin writing one for a tile-based 2D platformer.

Mind you, I could write them simultaneously? Watch this space...

ooo wait, i so had an idea and just wanted to share it. A hybrid of a 2d platformer and an rpg. *huh? huh?* Bah, its 3:00 a.m. and in the morning i'm going to cry about it becasue i know i can't code it at my skill level.

TDK- is it a scroller editor? or are u just sharing one of ur levels for a game with us? i'm confused... lol... either way... it looks great

Zombie 20- thanx... but i don't really understand data thingys... lol but i played it... and looked through the code... and it looked very helpful

Why do they turn against me? Especially when i need them the most?
