I have written two bits of code, which both worked fine, then I have tried to merge the two, ( one was the start of a basic map editor, the other is a bit of code, that lets me select from a list)

I now have a few errors, ie nesting errors, which I think I have sorted out, but now when I compile the code, I get this message:

Failed to `CreateASMFooter::Findlabel`

any idea what it means, and how to sort it out?

TIA

if u slapped two peices of code together then your really asking for it.

Some code would help a lot more to identify the problem at hand.

i've had that error message before

i did something like this:

restore level1enemymovedata

level1enmymovedata:
data...

took me ages to find it.

so i think your error is probably something to do with a label somewhere in your code

well the code I have added to the editor, only sits within a gosub-routine at the minute, called list:, I`m not sure if that is ok to use, but it hasn`t turned blue, so I presumed that its not a command ?

But there shouldn`t be an error in the labeling, as I havent added the code to call it yet.

I admit, that I have added some other code, ie, variables & arrays, but again, they only relate to the added code, and it was a straight cut & paste from working code?

heres what I have added, but its unaltered, as I get some errors with the RGB commands, on the `BOX lines ?

ps, I`m sorry about all the `X_1_1` stuff, but its only for position on the screen of the list items

If your getting errors with the BOX command for no good reason, its time to re-install DBPro. Deleting the .DBPRO and sub-directory (and then re-creating them) may work, but not always.

It seems that if the editor crashes it does something nasty to either the .DBPRO file or possibly the DLL's

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...

Re-check the *whole* line the error occurs on. You seem to have joined two lines there

MrTAToad,
I pasted the code from another project I was working on, and it still works in there, so I dont think its a problem with DBPro, but I`ll try to re-make the dbpro, dir..

IanM
the box command, can now designate a colour for the 4 sides, besides, its copied & pasted from working code, so there should be no problems ?

I¬ll have play with it more, but any more suggestions would help.....

Read my message again. You have joined two commands. A box command and an ink command.
