Hi :o)

Have just purchased DB and know absolutely nothing about programming except a little web design ...

My goal is to design a turn based multiplayer board game.
Movement will dependent on dice and outcomes of cards and various froms of transport. would like to learn how to produce something which is a mix of Monopoly, hex games and Risk .... 3d if possible but more of a top down "God View" than a first person perspective...

I have no idea where to start and what I what tools I will need to purchase and learn how to use -

Could someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction?
(not out of this thread I hope ... gulp!)
