You can make some pretty pics with Bryce.

Is this a full version? Is it a trial? Is this only good for a certain amount of time after you install it? Thanks.

Yup PAS, it's the full version, unlimited in any way.
I can only imagine how some of the folks that paid for it must feel tho', they gave it away before.
They have been been doing so periodically.
It's ideal for creating skyboxes, and everyone here should grab it while they can.

It looks like they are giving away 5.5 perhaps because 6.0 is out. The upgrade to 6.0 is only $19.98.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

5.5 for free, wow, Ive just been using version 5 that was free to do some sky boxes, 30 in all, ill be putting them online for sale when I finish, got the last 2 to do, must say some renders have taken forever for complex effects like water and glass, like 17 hours for 6 images.
upgrade to version 6 for 20 usd wow that's cheap. Bryce is a fun tool to play around with.

I hope they do a version of carrera for free, I bought version 1 when it first came out, they don't even do a demo for the newer versions, if they game out a prior version Id be tempted to go for an upgrade.

@ Rolfy: Thanks for answering my question. I got it and upgraded for $20 then bought a tutorial and plan on buying some models to use. This is a good marketing plan for them.

PAS,you do get to choose one of the 'master series' tutorials for free as well, did you get this.
The only problem with Bryce as with poser is the renderer is a donkey and takes forever,I once did a three minute fly thu' anim featuring the Silver Surfer using Bryce, never again.
It is good for single renders tho'.I got version2 for free with computer arts magazine way back in 99 or 2000,dont remember for sure. There's a pc and mac version.
The strange thing about it is the file and edit menus only appear when you hover the cursor over the top of the screen,it took me ages to realise that.

Rolfy, Yea I just went back and saw that. You have two weeks. I think for some skyboxes and some background scenes this will be great. I bought all my other sky boxes but now I cna make some unique ones. I am making two editiosn of my game so this will help me add some unique content. I would have to sya that Poser among Amapi as well as Shade would blow bryce out of the water. However, Bryce is good for osme thinsg and for $20 you cannot beat that price for what you cna do with it. I always say, you cna never have to many programs. Especially when you get them 60% off. So whats up with your game Rolfy? You released it yet? I ll send you a free copy of mine and you can rate it for me. I am going to release it in August I think.

Thanks, that really helped!

It allows you to create 3D environments but how can you apply them to FPSC?
