Im working on a simple multiplayer game and you can change the screen resolution before you start the game. I noticed when I was testing it that the difference in framerate with a 640 by 480 resolution and a 1024 by 768 resolution could get as large as 60 fps. Is this normal for multiplayer games? Ive never used the DBC multiplayer commands before but it seems strange that the time it takes to perform a host-client interaction routine and then refreshing the screen can change so much because of the screen resolution.

In multiplayer environments, you should always look at refreshing your game with the timer, as frame rates will always vary on different systems.
The timer should never increase at different intervals on diffeent systems
