Hi,

I have a qeustion. After you build your game and you have all the files of it on your computer, how do you pack it up with a instaler or setup, so that when you give the game to your friends the game works?

Just .zip the game files, the game .exe, and the two .ini's the game creates.

And then you pack then you pack the .zip folder in the installer...correct?

I use Install Creator to make an installer for my game and then zip that.
If you use the proper settings Install Creator will automatically install the folder with the files in it where it needs to go and put a nifty little shortcut on your desktop.

Are you sure this is not a problem with the executable its self, as that sounds like a windows error.

Example: "Anheim Alert has encountered a problem and needs to close
if you are in the middle of something your work may be lost"

If so you need to check your game executable for errors

Hope this helps

you should get fps pack, it compiles it into 1 .exe instead of all those extra files. Then use install creator.

go to:
www.freewebs.com/futurefps
www.chainoffreedom.com.piczo.com

Really? What happens when somebody steals your media?FPSPack does a bad job of protecting it.
What happens when you want to save your game? You can't because FPSPack hasn't been updated since any updates for FPSC came out.
You can't save and load a game that you pack with it and the develper refuses to update it.
What happens when you have a question, need support, etc. for FPSPack?Well...you're screwed. No updates,no supportcustomer service sucks.Vishnu is cheaper than FPSPack and actually protects yor files.
Plus you can use Install Creator to installer the entire folder on your computer.
I recommended FPSPack and I even bought it...but that was a year and a half ago before the developer of the application screwed his customers...one of which is me.
