I have never heard anyone mention any of those limitations here in the forum.

There have been quite a few very nice games made with the language (look in the showcase; under the DBP product menu.) You will be very hard pressed to make a commercial quality game, even though it is capable of making almost any of the budget line games that are on the market (IMHO). Without a large team and a dedicated graphics artist; you will never realize the clean look of the pro games today.
