In a nutshell, I'm "experimenting" with DB Pro in kicking around an idea to make a space sim / FPS. I've been programming with C++ and JAVA for about 12 years now so I'm no stranger to programming. The problem I have is right now I have a small program that flys a ship around in 3d and text based information only as my overlay. I want a graphical overlay (2d). I can code it and make the pictures for the transparent overlay but every time I make a call inside the program while looping the 3d data to make the overlay sprite or images or bitmaps ... I meet with failure. I've scoured the forum, skimmed through references and have even downloaded games that exhibit this process (all closed source that I have found to date) and havent found anything adequate. Simply, can someone post a small code snippet of how to do this properly? Doesn't have to be functional, I can figure it out. Thanx for reading!

Nevermind. I figured it out lol!

For anyone else with a similar plight, I give you this snippet. Place this in your initialization, before your loop and all is well.
