I wanted a little advice on what N-Gons are? Ive read that you call a polygon, an N-Gon when you do not know the amount of sides it has, is this true?

A polygon with n sides. For example, an 8-gon is another name for an octagon.

I did use google, I use it all the time, I just wanted to be sure on what I had read.

Yeah, I don't think n-gons are that important to 3d modeling though because I've only ever seen programs that work with tris and quads (which are broken down into 2 triangles anyway.)

I asked about N-Gons because some one I had been doing models for, said I had used them, blah blah...

I think I know why I didnt understand that maths question about the nth number now
