Will shots to different parts of the body effect how fast they die/how they die? In other words, would a headshot kill faster than a leg shot?

I doubt they will make this a new feature because it might be hard defining what part of the model takes more damage than other parts. But you never know.

All they would have to do, is update the biped (a skeleton which gives the model its animation) with named body parts. Then add new code that tells how much damage to add on top of what the weapon already does to different parts. So a head shot could have +100 damage

But then there goes your backwards compatibility. Anyone using the model packs would suffer.

Yes it would be nice, but I do not see this happening unfortunitly.

Those are called hitboxes...and It would really suck to have a next-gen FPS game withought brutal headshots...

One of the screenshots shows a next gen version of a model pack 6 gun, There most probably gonna make normal mapped / higher poly count model pack re makes for X10, which would possibly be available to all people who bought the previous versions. If they want to make a modern FPS Creator, Different damage area's area a MUST. they could be like bump maps, you can have a model with then, or without them.

I believe this is true for their current models (default ones), but not for the model packs.

Only way to do it would be to update both FPS Creator X9 and FPS Creator X10 at the same time. Unless they created some new scripting commands that could enable the designer / scripter to look where the damage is on the enemy. (Example: DAMAGE_Y_HIGHER=50; would mean if the damage on the Y axis happened above 50 (Zero (0) being it's mid point); DAMAGE_MULTIPLE=2; ... or something like that

I think it would be backward comp, if it was a script. If it's a script then you can add it to only the enemy models you want.
