So, to play with two or more players on a single map you obviously need to copy and transfer the arena files from computer A to computer B. I don't have FPSC (yet, I'm waiting for it in the mail) so there's probably an option I'm missing. But is there anyone who can tell me how to connect computer A+B for LAN and/or online?

Also, can you do multiplayer with the demo? Might as well play with my other friends who are waiting for their FPSC copy.

P.S. Manual pdf would also help

The manual comes with the demo. (Docs folder) You can't do MP with the demo because you can't build games. To connect CompA to CompB, just start up the game and click Host Game if no-one is already hosting, otherwise, Join Game.
If you click join game, a list of all hosted games will be displayed. Enter in the host IP you want to join.

Dude, you can't play on LAN because you have to be connected to the internet for the game to start. Your server is listed on a the gamelist server which I think is somewhere in the UK (but i'm not sure). If there is any way to play LAN somebody please tell me. It does say you can play LAN in the manual, but how the heck do you do that if you need both computers on the internet just to start the game?

You can do it if you have a shared internet connection. It will require a router that all machines are connected to however.

It was my understanding that you can play on a LAN, you just have to manually type in the IP address of the host... eg. 192.168.1.6

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Yeh, that would probably work. I think the GC server only lists games. If know the ip address of the other machine and there's an option to type it in, there's no reason why it shouldn't work.

Ok, after reading the manual (imagine that) I find that it can indeed be done, however one thing remains unclear. It says that the host must have a valid IP address (not internal network IP). It doesn't clarify if that host must be connected to the internet or not.

I don't have a second computer here with a decent video board, so I can't test it.

Best.

Whenever I try to start a game on LAN, the game won't start because I'm not connected to the internet. Even with the LAN network on, you can't start the game without being connected to the internet
