David, these people are ripping into you. Show some people you can code, impress a few folk, win the 20-line challenge, whatever, just get some respect. Then, just maybe, you can start asking for money.
"Many people think before they act, I act before I think" - That's exactly what is happening here. It's not a good idea to go onto a forum which is full of experienced games programmers and tell them you can code, with no evidence, and ask them for money for it, when half of these people can already code great games. They are the least likely people in the world to need games coded for them. Think about it.
