I recently downloaded DarkFact's texture converter, which required .Net framework V2. I downloaded that and installed it.
Now when i try to run the converter, it still says that
it needs .Net. Someone tell me if i did something wrong.

This is the thread:

Make sure you actually installed it and not just unpacked it. Microsoft usually has the downloaded file only extract the files to a temp folder. You have to then go there and install the thing yourself. Stupid, huh?

Microsoft has never been super user friendly on some things.

Ok. I tried that, here is what I did:
1. I went to My Computer.
2. I navigated to C:\WINDOWS.
3. When there, I navigated to C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework.
4. I went into v2.0.50215.
5. I clicked on Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Beta 2.
6. I started netfx.

When I got here, it started and loaded the installation software.
It loaded, then stopped completely and closed.
Can someone give me a guide on how to install it?

Many thanks,
Toasty.
