I'm using the Panda Exporter for 3d studio max. I'm about to upgrade to DB Pro, and was playing around with exporting X files with bump maps.

I'd create an object, apply both a diffuse and a bump texture to it, (both bmp's), and try to export it. However, when I loaded the X files with Microsoft Mesh Viewer to check them out, they didn't appear to have bump maps on them. Is it possible that the bump maps were there, and my Mesh Viewer just doesn't show them? Does anyone know if the radeon 9000 supports bump maps? Is my process correct?

Now the viewer was open as a window, in windowsXP, not full screen, might that have had something to do with it? What method do you use to export bump maps?

I'm using a Radeon 9000 dual-monitor display.
