SO i was wonderin, is buying darkmatter a good idea? i mean 40$ isnt to bad, and I can get it now, but is it twirth the money? I just dont want to waste $40, but I wouldnt mind spending it if its for a good reason.

I own DarkMATTER and I do not regret the purchase.

Although you arn't really getting a full CD of content, when you actually look around at the cost of purchasing media for your games the deal really is rather good.

However, if your looking for a consolidated set of media for a particular genre of game then you need to be aware that each 'set' or 'genre' covered by DarkMATTER is not what I would term comprehensive.

There is enough, but if your project requires a broader range of aliens, tanks or whatever, then it is not enough by itself and using DarkMATTER meens your other models will have to be developed to the same style - or they wont look good together.

Eh, models. Who needs them? I love using the old make object box command myself, just let the little box kill the other box. Saves time and money.

DarkMATTER is very limited in the variety of models - if you want military then DM is great, if you don't, DM will have nothing for you.

Do you want Windows menus in your DBP apps? - Get my plugin: http://snow.prohosting.com/~clone99/downloads/tpc_menus_102.zip

DM also has sci-fi and horror models, and I also believe a knight model. It also comes with textures (which is not too much of a big deal since you can find tons of them on the internet), and a 3ds to x conversion utility.

All in all, not bad for the money!
