I recently bought dbp and on the first day of using it i made this little game while learning how to use the newton physics dll. I used dbc before buying dbp. I love dbp, i didnt notice all the limitations in dbc untill you start using dbp and see how great it is to use..

Here is just a basic little thing i did

here is it a little more advanced

Here's a video showing the game (it's slow because of fraps)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=1bH7Caogeik

It's really easy using this game, just position the camera so the red box sticking out of the white box is on the right, then the controls should work fine.

Use the Arrow key's to position the white box (the white box represents the position of the boxes you make) and press the SPACE key to make boxes, when you have finished making your domino thingy then you can move the white box (using the arrow keys) to the position you want to make it start, and press the S key. When you press the s key a little ball rolls onto the box in front of it and causes it all to fall. so dont press s far away from the box, and when you press s, the ball will always roll in the same direction, i made the little red box on the white box to remind you where it will fall. Press mouse1 and the mouse2 button to move away or closer.

it's fun for like 3 minutes... then you get bored and go do something else.. that's guaranteed

in Austrlia, there is a really red sun, u got a red sun in sky too?

Why would we flame? This is much better than the usual introduction here on TGC Forums - instead of the usual idea about an uber-teh-pwn MMORPG or something, we get an actually working Newton Physics test in DarkBASIC. It's like you say, fun for like 3 minutes, then I got bored and wrote my girlfriends name in domino's and frapsed it. She'll love it, I'm certain!

Can't wait to see some more advanced programs from you .

Mmm, I think Soul Hunter and EvoChron (which is sold commercially!) are prime examples of that DBC is more than capable of creating beautiful games. Can't wait to see that stuff of yours though!
