Is there a way to place a vent in a wall without this happening?

Um the Vent Prob you place it there and of-course the vent will take a huge bit of wall but you need to place it again on over the vent it will not block it.

that doesnt work
i placed the wall over the vent and the wall is deleting the vent.

also i searched through the forums and most of them talk about placing a vent door in the wall, I dont have a vent door segment, or entitiy.

Place your vent, then put your mouse over any segment in the room and press "k" then press "m" then click your mouse. place the wall back. now in the segment libary go to si-fi/scenery and select the one of the door vents and place it down like a door.

Hit the external paint tool, then place your wall, then your vent again.
