I'll make a professional site for you and to edit it you'll only need to use a tiny bit of code. The site will be very cool and if you need help you can just MSN me.
Two of my sites, which I think are pretty professional are [href]http://www.angelfire.com/games5/consolio [/href]and
http://www.geocities.com/nerdyqwert/index.html

Your site will be listed in the top 20 search engines within a few months.

You may ask me this question "What has this got to do with game making? Well actually, it helps alot if you can publicise your game that you're creating. You can earn money off your website, like I am. You can even make thousands a day if you're smart. I'm just going to get you started.
If you have a team of people there might not be a way that everyone can talk to each other live. But I'll add interactive features, such as a forum, chat room and tag-board. You'll be able to schedule events and organise things with ease.

Plan 1: $20 US for a really professional site and free advertisement on http://www.dc-games.tk
Plan 2: $30 US for a huge site, free advertisement on http://www.dc-games.tkand loads of popular affiliates.
Plan 3: $15 US for a 6 page site, good graphics
Plan 4: $5 US for a just 1 page but still a very professional site (looks the best out of all plans, but is only for verey small sites)

E-mail me with the subject "I'll pay you for a site" and I'll tell you all about the payment details.
If you know of a 3d Modeller thats easy to use please contact me! Visit my game making site at http://www.dc-games.tk

No offense but I could do better in my sleep and I don't charge.

What packages do you use? The ideas are there Davey mate, but the graphics (buttons/banners/etc) they need fine tuning. I suggest Paintshop Pro 7 (go for 8 if you want but it's a bit funny getting used to at first if you've used earlier version of PSP) then move on up to Adobe Photoshop 7 (if you feel it's necessary).

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

Ditto Nilrem's comments.

David, you should focus on improving your web development skills before you try and sell yourself.

If you want to be able to charge for your services, you need to be capable of producing websites of say, the quality of the DBP homepage. Not necessarily the forum part, but the general graphics quality etc.

On the plus side though, navigation was easy and the nav bars were good without being tacky.

Perhaps you should update your sites then. If you're trying to advertise, you need to give everything you've got. In fact, I'm in the middle of revamping my own webpage - even though it's only been up for a week now, I learnt enough from making it to know I could do a better one.

I'd probably have finished the new site by now, if only I hadn't got my XBox this Thursday. I'm now four levels into Halo and I've racked up nine hours of DoA: XBV! w00t!

I'm not massively keen on Halo - it's pretty fun overall, but can get boring after you've walked into the 'same' room for the tenth time.

Although, I'd say the Silent Cartographer is the best level; especially in co-op with the three Warthogs!

wow offtopic and i wasn't even here to do it...
personally i don't think those who like in greenhouses should be throwing stones.

Those sites although the artwork is a bit tacky are actually very very solid designs, and particularly in designs right now.
I think if you upgrade the artwork on the sites it would show that they're not as basic as they appear at a first glance.

and really the sites you show should be showing what your capable of as far as webdesign technicals go, because those your developing for should be the ones who come up with how they want the site to look - your really there to make everything actually work
So don't worry about it mate, the DB-Forum certainly isn't the friendlist of places at the moment when you want to show new things especially conserning certain members so try not to let them get to you, especially with these sheep rules comming back into play

well good luck trying to get some customers

"... All on XBOX!"

Yes, HALO is great, except for the stupid XBOX controller. You cannot play FPS games properly without a mouse.

When HL2 and DOOM 3 come to PC, it will look better than the XBOX one, I will be able to run it at a higher resolution than the XBOX one and I will be able to run it faster and I won't have to pay to play it multiplayer over the web. Choices, choices

Yes, yes, but...

...will you be able to trip your mother up with the wire, and then scowl at her while scrabbling to put the wire back together?

Eh?

Eh?!

It meant (duh) that if you play on da PC, you dont have silly wires stretched out for miles across the living room carpet for the whole family to break their necks on. And the XBOX has them queer little breakable controlpad wires that come apart and snap back together, hence the "scabbling bit" (which doesnt, incidentally, refer to the board game thats fun for all the family...)

Obviously...

Well duh(!)

Duh my ass , whose dumb mother would wanna go trip on on obvious visible wires *stretching for miles* on the floor (with ppl playing infront of the TV), and wat kind of b*st*rd son that would scowl over their own poor mummy after she trip off some stupid XBox wires? Excuse me, but it looks like the Xbox worth more than mummy's head on the ceramic table's edge.

And i was not questioning on the wires, i wanted to be clear on family-wise. Looks to me that i've learnt something today, so fcuk it and lets get back to the topic.

[EDIT]okaay, so i'm a little sensitive about parents and stuff, i apologize. it just happen to tick me. i got my reasons and experience. my bad.

Well, I sometimes play mine on the ceiling; does that count?

I tell you, the amount of glue and nails it can take just for a bit of gaming...
