The last two weeks i've been working on a character after work hrs. It's been a long process but, so far so good. I've been posting this character on the gamespace forums and thought that I should post it here as well, seeing that DBpro is the language that im going to be using it in.

here's a couple renders from GS, some are with subdivision for a high poly look, some are just standard. The final model without subdivision is 2000 faces on the nose. how funny is that. lol

Looks good.

The face is a little flat though - I would add some depth and curves to suggest bone structure. And there is something a little odd about the fingers.

I'm not paranoid. Stop thinking that I'm paranoid!

looks cool. The stomach looks a bit like two tubes instead of muscle. See if you can make it slightly flatter.

Thats awesome. Only 3 points that I can make out to be corrected:

1. Hands are a bit odd, no joints or anything.
2. Stomach needs to be flatter.
3. Face is way too flat.

But over all thats a brilliantly crafted model. Nice work.

thanks for the compliments and the your points are noted and I have been working on it. This is my first character i've done without following any tutorials or copying anyone else's geometry.
So for a first attempt, I think it is already better than I thought I could do.

However from this point I think im going to put this one on hold as I think I mistakingly ruined it.
All the other models I've done, I've been able to UV map using a specific way and it has been ok up till now.

I tried to Uv map this one but it is giving me a head ache it will not properly uv map for me. Im using Gamespace.
Anyway I think I know what the prob is. At one point when i was working on the model, I welded the mirrored so I could save the model as x for some early tests before the detail was completed.
Anyway after doing so I usually just exit with out saving that way I still have the original sceen to work with. Well I got confused and acciently saved the sceen with the model welded....oooops

Anyway after that i ended deleting one half by just deleting the faces when that was done I just saved reopened and once again mirrored the half that I was working with and I think it may have caused some type of error in the mesh.

This is a wire or the head. I worked on it abit since this thread started. this is the original base model that i had going but the UV seems wrong like there's an error within the model somewhere.

I can do the UV in one fashion but it raises about wheather it is going to be ok.
The prob I have is is simple, in Gamespace when your in edit mode on the main modeling window and you have the Uv editor up on screen, after selecting faces and clicking on the map button, the faces map out in the uv editor and stay selected for you to work with. In my case after clicking the map button, the program maps out the faces but there not selected for me to work with which is bad cause then im am forced to try and select the mapped faces within a whole scribble of faces that cover the whole UV screen
