You know those wierd glasses that you get in cereal boxes, well thats an idea that could be used in X10, I thought. Obviously not in V!, but certainly in an update. Dx9 couldn't handle this operation on movinig images in real-time, but I would suspect that DX10 could. Heres what I think it would look like. (You need Red & Cyan glasses to see it properly, you can get them free with films and some games, and cereal boxes, I bet you've got one stashed away somewhere!)

I was thinking about this and agree that that would be an awesome game for some people. Hopefully x10 will have this some how but I seriously doubt it.

I've used LCD shutter glasses since DX8, or so. Haven't for a while, though.

Yes, but it would effectivley halve the framerate. You see, this requires an image taken from two seperate angles showing objects from two different angles. This would result in the game having to do two different draw calls for every frame, making the framerate slump lower than it should. It would still be doable though I think.

Correction: it would third the frame rate, as it has a centre render with all the colour (like you normally see in FPSC), cyan render and red render from different angles. But with X10 really starts to advance and I mean REALLY starts to advance); you might be able to effectively instance the whole level 2 times to make those other 2 renders.
