Hey everyone,
I have recently gotten into Visual Basic 6 coding, (about 2 months ago), since then I have written a variety of small apps such as media players, text editors, web browsers, etc. (all the noobey stuff )

I decided to try my hand at writing an FPI Writer. I did complete it, but some necessary features have been left out.

Well, on to the showcase...

This is the main interface. It has a shade of gray over it because
I obviously didn't have it selected.

The File> Menu

Here's the Edit> Menu. Notice Find & Replace. This helps out alot when writing long scripts.

And last we have the explosive About menu.

The Installer for Beta 1.0a is attached. Check it out for any bugs, and if you find any, please post back here with screenshots.
_____________________________________________

Below is a list of what I will add to the software in the near future...

-Syntax recognition and checking
-Pop-up FPI tutorial for beginners (xplosys's-if he doesn't mind)
-Automatic "state" command each time user hit's Enter.
-;desc clauses automatically at the beginning.
-Scriptbank folder tree pop-up for easy organizing.
-Some sort of live chat pop up window so while scripting, you can talk to other scripters.

I originally was going to sell this software for a mere $7, but the other program, FPI Maker, has been released for free, and so should this.

Enjoy!

-AaronG

EDIT: ALREADY found a bug. If you minimize it, and try to open it again, you get an error and it closes. I'll have to fix that.

yeah it is almost exactly oriented as Notepad.
Just wait till syntax recognition kicks in though in the near future.

AaronG,

You're welcome to incorporate my scripting tut.

I started to do this a while back. but as POD said....

Best of luck with it.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Good luck, syntax highlighting is no easier in DBP...lol...trust me, I've tried. I could probably do it if I wanted to ignore windows gadgets, but then I'd have to write an interface myself (bleck!).

Vote today and play the games!

well, if I want this project to continue to be succesful, I kind of have to put in syntax highlighting, or it would pretty much be a Notepad that automatically saves .fpi's.

I'll be at a friend's house today, so I will not have time to work on it.

BTW-You spelled Scripter wrong on your start bar.
