Whenever I loop a sound using the Ogg Vorbis format I get a silent interval that lasts as long as the soundfile. I've tried using Audacity, and Sound Forge 5, so I doubt that it's a file problem. Using a wav solves this, but I'm trying to keep my file sizes down. Has anyone else experianced this? Any workarounds?
Thanks.

Hm, I think it has something to do with the vorbis having to initiate before playing, I read something about it while working with RPG Maker XP back in the day. But a song-long load before looping? That sounds like an error on Lee's behalf, I've never experienced problems with looping ogg's.. I'd like to know any workarounds too, as this could cause some trouble with my and other people's future projects.

It plays well initially. It's song-silence-song-silence,etc.

As it's a loop you should use wav which will loop fine.Only if you intend to use a long music file should you use ogg,the files in the FPSC soundbank are all wav's.
Eight bars at 120bpm (mono) should only come in about 279k,which isn't a lot for a loop anyway.Same ogg file will come in around 85k.
As long as the loop isn't too long, which would defeat the purpose anyway, the file size isn't excessive.
