I have modeled a skyscraper for a project and was wandering wether to use a texture of a single window and tile it, or a single texture for the whole building.

If you have an idea please tell me why, coz I'm a bit in the dark about this one, and are there advantages/disadvantages to each method?

advantage of using tiling would be that you can keep the loaded image small and still have good detail..but this will only work if you have equal repeating "blocks" in your skyscraper appearance...whilst,, with single image for the whole surface will force you to use a rather large texture in order to keep it detailed..
hope it makes sense
cheers
