Hello all! I have a question, I was reading that FPSC X10 will have ragdoll physics, will TGC make an update with that for XP users? I plan on getting a laptop sometime this January (When I'm 15 and allowed to legally work!), then I will use X10, but I probebly wont get it for a while. So will it have ragdoll physics?

Anotuher question! (Not pertaining to in the future!) is there anyway that you can make a person in the game hold the gun on the left side? I am left handed, and I would like to see a game that supports leftys too! Didn't you ever notice how almost all FPS's are right handed? I feel offended! lol

TGC said.

That they will inplant some of the new upgrades into this version aswell.

But i dont know for sure if ragdoll will include into the upgrade.

---EDIT---

I dont know if this is possible by editing the specs of the weapon.

If not then you will have to model yourself a weapon and animate it.

Yeah, you can make left handed weapons, but you would need to model it and mess with the gunspecs. Try mirroring the weapon, and import that.

Yes they might I just seem to remember that they said they wouldn't just can't remember where its not the same engine not everything can just be ported across that easy not to mention it wouldn't do anything for the speed issues.

Thanks

Ragdoll isn't something that causes speed issues as such, it's just deadly difficult to make in the first place, not to mention the random bugs in FPSC X9 already

Wouldn't ragdoll physics involve the use of limbs?

It is my understanding at this point that they will be adding all of the features into x9 that are in x10 that x9 can handle.Obviously there are things you can do with direct x 10 that you can't do with direct x 9.
Ragdoll physics and better AI are just two of the things I have heard will be added to x9 eventually.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

Yes, and joints, but I think the ODE physics system X9 has at the moment isn't well adjusted to the revolving/spherical joints needed in ragdoll effects.

Implementing Dark AI into X9 is pretty much already decided, if you look at the most recent update. It contains scripts to specifically act as place-holders until DAI is implemented into the engine, so I guess it's pretty much a final decision.

As for ragdolls, I recall Lee saying that as soon as X10 is out and going, they were going to port that over to X9 as well. Cross your fingers, folks!

Isn't it a pity, now isn't it a shame?

Well, if the characters already have limbs laid out, wouldn't it be fairly easy to add headshots?
