go to scripts section and there is a tutorial called everything you ever wanted to know about scripting, searching the forum is always a good way to find things.

yes nikkidudes guide is a great way to learn scripting also look at the sticky topics at the top of the scripts board these are very usful even the manual has some of the information in it, for more specific scripting information try a forum search
