I can't try out Reflection Shading as my video card dosen't support vertex shaders. *grumble*. Anyways, I was wondering... would a workaround be constantly texturing an object with a camera placed at its position, with the FOV way out so it picked up more? How does this compare in speed to using Reflection Shading?

You can just use SET CAMERA TO IMAGE to do the texturing thing. Just use TEXTURE OBJECT once, DBP will automatically update the image from the camera.

Yes it is a workaround and yes it does work, check the CODE SNIPPETS forum for examples.

BTW. You can get a GF FX 5200 for about $50 if you want a cheap next gen card.

Do you want Windows menus in your DBP apps? - Get my plugin: http://snow.prohosting.com/~clone99/downloads/tpc_menus_102.zip

No, I want an *expensive* next gen card, but thanks . If I'm going to spend any money on something, I want it to last. Those things are gonna be talked about like MXs are talked about now in not too long.
