I can't get ghost matrix to work at all. I'm using patch 4, and have tried everything I can think of to resolve this issue. It does absolutely nothing, it's like it’s ignoring the command completely.

Is anybody else having this problem? If not, can someone using patch 4 write a small bit of code for me so I can try it on my system. Just a simple textured matrix that is ghosted.

I guess my other alternative is upgrading to patch 4.1, but I'm a little skeptical to do so. I don't want to create any other issues to deal with. Just curious, is anyone encountering any serious bugs with 4.1.

Anyways, I appreciate any help you can give...

Thanks

No - P4.1 fixed quite a few things for me.

I just upgraded to patch 4.1 and the matrix still won't ghost.

Any suggestions or some sample code for me to try?

I should be able to see objects through it though, right? If so I can't. Do I need to do something special with the light or the SET MATRIX command? I'm lost here...

no you cant see objects thru it, its only for matrix's, randomize the matrix abit and you'll see its transparent on itself, or make another matrix under it and you'll see its transparent.
Just doesnt work for objects..

Thanks, I tried what you said, and it worked. I didn't realize objects can't be seen through a ghosted matrix. Seems kind of stupid if you ask me. The whole point of ghosting is so you can see through it, isn't it? Oh well, at least it's doing what it's supposed to.

Thanks again!!

yeah, just accept it for now, mate. I'm sure a later patch can make it work. Of course, you can always make a matrix a .x or .3ds file and then ghost that, which will allow you to see other objects through it, if I'm not mistaken. You can make a matrix an object by making one in the terrain generator of 3D canvas pro.
