I was reading down the forum list and I realised how many newcomers were posting asking about the overall quality of FPS Creator, and what were the pros and cons of buying it, and a few testimonials about it. Ok, here goes...
Are you thinking about getting FPSC, but aren't quite sure about what you're getting for your money? Well, here's the pros and cons, and you can be left to deliberate by yourself.

Pros
Why not?
Make some cash.
Free material from the forums.
Don't have to spend money on Nike trainers!
Easy to use
No programming skills nescassary<-That's spelt wrong
You can sell your games
Import models, textures, characters, audio, videos of your own choice
Model packs available to get you started with some games of your own
Access to this forum where members are happy to answer any questions you may have
FPS Creator X10 is available for Pre-order!
Great customer support
Good platform to start creating games with
Free updates (currently V1.07
Ability to create MP Maps, however...
Cons
Multiplayer is poor
Dodgy AI - But Can be rewritten -(Antimatter AI is a good example)
Framerate can go a bit low sometimes - (But depends on your system)
Sometimes glitchy software
Chronic weight gain!

So that's it. Now go to www.fpscreator.com, and click the "Buy" button. Go now. Come on, I don't here typing... Good.

Alternatively, click here to download the demo (in case you missed it)

Dodgy AI can be re-written, frame-rate will be stable in well planned out levels. Not sure what you mean be unstable software, if you do everything right with a decent version of FPSC it should work fine.

You could spend £60.00 quid on a pair of 'nike' trainers or train your brain for around £30.00 quid with FPSCreator.
I picked the later.

Well said, Ross.

If you're not into computers and know how to get around possible problems with software, you shouldn't go with FPSC though. But hey, there's noobs picking up FPSC every day even though they don't know crap about video games except that they think WoW roxxors their waffles.

So yeah, get FPSC now, whether you like games or not.

Actually Ross...

I like FPSC a lot so i am not bringing it down or anything.
But the way that sounded was like:

Sit behind your pc or, go and do some sport.

(I am not offended or anything and i also dont want to attack you
or try to offend you)

But i immediately thought about 1 episode of South Park.
(which was quite fun)

Anyway on-topic mode again.

If you want to design quick and fast first person shooter games.
Then FPSC is the answer!
And you dont have to stick with shooters you could also make
puzzle games or adventure games.

Simple FPSC is very good and easy to use.
It comes along with many many media.
Which you could make a game with!
But you could also get some Model Packs to extend your library!
(there are currently 8 model packs)

And for the more experienced users you can create your own
media!

There are also many many freebies on these forums.

Like:

Characters,
Models,
HUDS,
Scripts,
Segments,
Skyboxes,
Weapons.

So actually you can find it all here.

If you are still not sure then why not download the demo version
and test it for yourself!
(the demo version doesnt have all the media that comes along with
the full version.)

And if you still arent sure about buying it....

Then look on the FPSC Showcase forums for downloadable demos!
Or screenshots to look whats possible with FPSC.

Basically FPSC is fun to use, easy to use, and most of all
the BEST to use!

I have used it for a few months now and lost 5 pounds.
(Tell-Sell voice like)

What I meant was that as a beginner you can overload the software, and changind properties in the setup files can cause crashes. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen the infamous error message, but I sort of learned how to avoid it better as I became better.

Good points about the AI and the framerate though.

At first I though of FPSC as a kind of a noob software, but then I started using it
@Dark Jaguar Flame
You get a CD in the mail and you can download it and you get a code by email
I would rather spend $50.00 on a software that can make you money than more on shoes than make you go broke.

Why would anyone spend that much on shoes? FPS Creator has never actually made me any money, but the important thing is that it could do.

You can complain about multiplayer but look at it like this.
To begin with there is multiplayer. At least you have it and apparantly some people are doing some nice things with MP and are finding ways to raise the bar and do more with multiplayer.Check out s4real's game and the church confession MP as examples.
While I would like to see more options (team deathmatch,TGC.I want team deathmatch) it could be worse.
As far as FPSC for making games here's what happened to me.I happened to come across FPSC on the internet, downloaded the demo and bought it less than three hours later.
I made my first game (It's called Wembley's Haunted House and you can download it from my site...remember...this is the very first game I made) the first weekend I had FPSC.
And the nice thing is that TGC has updated FPSC quite a bit since I bought it and continue to do so.
I recommend FPSC and the honest truth is that you aren't going to find another first person shooter engine that is easier to use than FPSC.I've gotten more than my money's worth out of it.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

Also. You should add this to the list.

Pros-
Why not?
Make some cash.
Free material from the forums.

Cons-
You have to actually make a level before you sell it.

Lol just kidding.

By not owning a copy of this software you are:

- Preventing yourself from being able to develop your own FPS
- Preventing yourself from getting a job in the game industry
- Preventing yourself from making money from an indie developed game
- Preventing yourself from having a happy and full life

FPSC can only be described as a life changing experience. If you think of it as being average then you'll only produce something average.

TGC will be updating and continuing to make the software better with every new version. If your lucky multiplayer might be in their future plans!

The MP in FPSC is alright. If you have a good mind then you can get creative. Like me I'm makeing a multiplayer map called FPSCreator Quake 3 arena stile. Its really not that hard.

If anyone has Xbox live please add me to you're frinds list.

Yes, but when I first started using it, I couldn't use it right, and I suspect a lot of others couldn't; causing glitches - hence the use of the word "sometimes"

i must admit the engine is a bit buggy but i call that a feature because on the forums were constantly modifying the engine to do anything. anythings possible

but you might end up with a hairdo like homer simpson thrying to script stuff its a little anoying but its worthwhile

Can you create models with FPSC or do you need an external program to do it with. I've got ProDesktop, but how wuld you export the models to FPSC?

No, you can't actually create models with FPSC, yet...
But there are plenty of programs you can use, Blender, Maya, 3DMax. And Wehtams Entity Workshop (search for it) will help you texture and import them.

As far as I know, ProDESKTOP doesn't export DirectX files, but you might want to look around on their site for the plugin.
