Terrain....Why is it only single textured? Why can't I texture it like a matrix? It's awesome using height maps, but the single texture just makes it look...blah! Anyways any help is welcome. you know what would be kewl....two maps..one for height, and one to check pixel color and apply a texture based on the color to that grid of terrain. like brown is dirt and green is grass, and blah blah....

kewl, huh?

If this is already possible, my apologies for looking like a doofus!

nope, not possable yet. The BSP and LOD Terrain were added "to be finished" when it was shipped. DBP came out a little early and there were so many bug reports they haven't been able to get to them. I'm waiting anxiously too.

Current Projects: mini BSP maker 50%, Height Mapper with many features 75%, FPS/RTT Nameless at the moment 15%

On the RGT boards in the DBP forum there is an official request thread. Post there

Multitexturing is on the cards AFAIK and terrains will become DBO objects, which will make them much more flexible.

Does that mean we finally get a unified architecture or is this whole terrain = DBO thing different?

Terrains will become DBO objects = Unified Architecture indeed.
