i heard there was a way to get a lens flare by turning on shaders how do I make the lens flare?

well he probably wants to simulate the effect on people when the sun light is bright they squint and get something that looks similar to lense flare

Maybe TGC should make an effect, that when you look at the sun, you become blinded for a few seconds or so, or make it so that you get hurt if you stare at the sun to long!

Well I got it from some guys game it had a hallway full of lights and someone asked where he got it and then another person answered turn on shader effects

I think its just an effect made in a photo edit program.

Who knows but hey good luck I think it would be abit hard although you may be able to fake one with a decal or sky box but I doubt it would look amazing

Well if it was a decal the decal has to follow you and at some times
even dissapear...

And a skybox wouldnt look nice....

The best thing to look into is the decal version i think....

Yes it sounds very complicated though as flare depends on the direction you are standing in not just where you are standing, ah well I was just bouncing ideas this is nothing id ever want to do

He doesn't actually mention sunlight anywhere here,I remember seeing the thread you are referring to and it,s decals.
